"I am large. I contain multitudes."

My mind runs at the speed of light. At least that’s what it feels like. I have so many opinions, thoughts, tasks, passions, fears, experiences etc all pulsing through my brain at such a fast pace, it still amazes me that I am able to get anything done.

I am a 22-year old black, Christian, liberal, introvert, control freak, recent college graduate woman, and everyday there is always something to think about. My boyfriend asked me if I hope that a bunch of random strangers would read my new blog, and initially I said yes. (Because who doesn’t want that, right?)

But, thinking further, that was not the case at all. I just needed an outlet for all of the many thoughts running rampant in my brain, and at this stage in my life – especially as a millennial—there is nothing that I need more right now.

So, not only do I hope to use this blog as a channel of release, but also through each entry, I hope to shine a light of positivity to myself and whoever is willing to read my stories.

You will discover a lot about me, as I am sure to discover much more about myself. But, the best way to give you a bird’s eye view to the girl of the stories you will be reading is by sharing one of my favorite quotes. There is a famous quote by Walt Whitman that states, “Do I contradict myself? Very well then, I contradict myself. I am large. I contain multitudes.” And that is exactly who I am.
